United Kingdom–based Zimbababwean musician, Quonfuzed says he is grateful to the organisers of the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA) for putting local music onto the international scene.
Born McDonald Sheldon, Quonfuzed recently won the Zimbabwe Achievers Award’s Best Male Artist award.
The “Chimbovarega” hit maker was adjudged the best Zimbabwean male artist based in the diaspora.
Quonfuzed said the awards play an important role in the marketing and distribution of Zimbabwean music in the diaspora.
“The awards motivate me to work hard. They also help put Zimbabwean music on the world map,” said the 29-year-old musician.
Quonfuzed is billed to perform at the Zim Link Up show, which will be held in Birmingham, on Sunday and Monday.
He will share the stage with other artistes from Zimbabwe, among them Killer T, Nutty O, Freeman, Takura and ExQ.
