NEW: Police hunt Hatcliffe women who assaulted alleged cheater

POLICE are looking for four women who reportedly teamed up to heavily assault another woman for allegedly having an affair with a married man in Hatcliffe Extension, Harare.

A teenager, Mitchel Kariwo, has since been arrested in connection with the attack, which has since went gone viral on social media.

In a statement, police said they were looking for Zeripah Kanduza, Natasha Kanduza, Fortunate Tembo and another woman only identified as Olleen.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police has taken note of a video circulating on social media involving a female victim who was being assaulted by five female suspects after being accused of having an affair with a married man in Hatcliffe Extension, Harare,” said the police.

“The case is now under investigations and the police have since arrested Mitchel Kariwo (18) in connection with this case.”

Police have dismissed social media reports that the woman who was assaulted died, saying she sustained serious injuries and was receiving treatment at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.
