Marshall Munetsi’s stock keeps rising in the French Ligue 1 as the Zimbabwean star midfielder is slowly becoming a key player for Stade de Reims.
He scored his third goal of the season when Reims beat Ajaccio 1-0 in a French Ligue 1 match at Stade Francois Coty on Wednesday night.
The solitary strike came in the third minute of the match.
Munetsi was, however, substituted in the 77th minute.
The Mabvuku-bred star is the only Zimbabwean player having consistent game time in a top European league.
He has started 15 out of 18 league matches for Reims, who moved to 11th position on the log after Wednesday’s victory at Ajaccio.
All in all, the 26-year-old has played 1 161 minutes and has scored three goals, a decent return for a defensive link-man.
Munetsi’s performances keep attracting interest across Europe, including some Premier League clubs in England.
