AFTER starving his fans for a month, upcoming sungura musician, Mark Ngwazi, returns to the stage in Harare with a gig scheduled for July 15.

Ngwazi recently launched a new album titled “Nharo Nezvine Nharo.”

This will be the musician’s first live performance since the album launch.

Unlike the album launch, the Friday gig is a public event, with similar shows also having been slated for venues across the country.

Ngwazi is also set to tour South Africa within the coming months.

The musician is expected to use the Harare show as a rehearsal for the forthcoming local and international tours.

“The Friday show will be like a rehearsal for our future gigs. From next week, we are going to have nationwide shows to promote our latest album.

“We are also going to tour South Africa, and our next performance seeks to polish our stage performances as we move forward,” Ngwazi said.

Meanwhile, the corporate world continues to support the Glen View-based artiste with Zino Driving School buying the latest album for US$700.

The driving school also offered to help the Njanja Express band members acquire drivers’ licences.

On Monday, deputy Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation Tino Machakaire bought the new album for a whooping US$10 000.

On the day of the album launch, Ngwazi walked away with two cars, two residential stands and cash amounting to more than US$14 000.
