SIX people died of Malaria, while 1 950 cases were recorded in the week to January 8, 2023, according to the latest update from the Ministry of Health and Child Care.
The data also shows that 221 cases were of children under the age of five.
Mashonaland Central province had the highest number of recorded cases at 587, followed by Manicaland province (429 cases).
The deaths reported were from Sally Mugabe Central Hospital (three), Mutare district (two) and Makonde district (one).
