SIXTY workers from three Government departments have been trained to use data collection software by the World Health Organisation (WHO) Zimbabwe.

Dubbed the Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) champions, the 60 were drawn from the Ministries of Health and Child Care; Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development; and Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality.

Said WHO Zimbabwe in a statement:

“Thanks to Fleming Fund, WHO Zimbabwe is training 60 AMR champions this week from the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Ministry of Environment Climate and Hospitality and Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development on using WHONET a data collection software used in laboratories for the management and analysis of microbiology laboratory data.
