Gospel singer and film producer Leonard Chibhamu is set to release his second album “Garai neni” during the Bernard Mizeki Festival, which will be held between June 16 and 18.
The eight-track project will be the singer’s second studio effort after “Zvigare Zvakadaro”.
Two of the songs from the forthcoming album – “Garai Neni” and “Dzvara Muchinjiko Wako” – have already been released.
“I am now almost done with the second album, with two songs from the album already released.
“I am going to officially release the album during the Bernard Mizeki Festival,” Chibhamu told The Sunday Mail Online.
The gospel singer was raised in the Anglican Church and his music compositions are largely inspired by hymns.
“The album is themed around ancient hymns, and my music mostly targets broken hearts and people in different emotional states.”
The Bernard Mizeki Festival is the biggest fiesta in the Anglican communion in Zimbabwe.
Anglicans from all walks of life converge in Marondera every year to commemorate the African Christian missionary and martyr, Bernard Mizeki.
