FORMER CAPS United forward Nicholas Alifandika is slowly rediscovering his form at Northern Region Soccer League side Shamva Mine FC.
He is now the joint top scorer in that division after 16 rounds of action.
Alifandika has six goals, the same as Donald Nyakurima of Banket United, although the return is paltry, given the number of games played in the 2023 NRSL competition so far this season.
His goals have, however, failed to inspire Shamva Mine, who are fourth from bottom with 17 points, while Nyakurima’s Banket United are 11th with 20 points.
Jerry Chipangura is also working himself back at Harare City, where he has scored five goals.
Jairos Kasondo (PAM FC), Leeroy Ndlovu (Black Mambas), Ernest Mativenga (Commando Bullets) and Trevor Bhunu of Golden Eagles are some of the players with five goals.
Harare City are second on the log with 29 points, five behind leaders Black Mambas.
Last season’s challengers – Herentals Under 20 – are fourth with the same number of points, while Golden Eagles are sixth with 28 points.
Resurgent MWOS moved to fifth with 28 points following an impressive 3-0 win at PAM FC.
The Norton-based side, is coached by veteran gaffer Lloyd Mutasa, has now managed seven wins and seven draws.
MWOS host Herentals U20 at Ngoni Stadium in Norton on Sunday.
