The country’s national dam level currently stands at 82,8 percent, having steadily risen due to rains being experienced countrywide.
In an update on Wednesday, the Zimbabwe National Water Authority (Zinwa) said impressive gains had been registered at Mazowe Dam, which had risen by 6,4 percent in the last seven days.
As at January 18, Tugwi-Mukosi stood at 91,4 percent full, Mutirikwi (94,7 percent), Manyame (82,5 percent), Osborne (81,4 percent), Mazvikadei (79,6 percent), Manyuchi (82,8 percent), Manjirenji (57,3 percent) and Sebakwe (75,7 percent).
Lake Chivero stood at 93,4 of its total capacity, Insiza at 62,7 percent, Zhovhe (77,6 percent), Siya (44,8 percent), Inyankuni (36,8 percent), Arcadia (100,7 percent) and Mtshabezi (69,3 percent).
Upper Ncema Dam stood at 2,6 percent, Mzingwane (4,4 percent), Mazowe (45,8 percent), Bubi-Lupane (58,1 percent), Mwenje (100,2 percent), Masembura (101,4 percent) and Silalabuhwa (72,5 percent).
