STRUGGLING Premier Soccer League side Bulawayo Chiefs have made changes to their technical team in order to arrest a freefall that has seen them plunging on log standings.

Assistant coaches Mark Mathe and Farai Tawachera are victims of the restructure.

Former club coach Thulani “Toots” Sibanda returns to the team to join a technical bench that will continue to be led by the expatriate gaffer, Nilton Terroso.

Bulawayo Chiefs are winless in their last six outings and now lie 12th on the log with nine points in nine games.

They last won a league match on February 13 when they stunned champions FC Platinum at Luveve Stadium.

Since then, Chiefs have lost four and drawn two, prompting the club’s executive to ring the changes.

Club secretary Dumisani Mantula Sibanda announced the new setup on Tuesday morning.

“We would like to announce the team mutually agreed to part ways with assistant coaches Mark Mathe and Farai Tawachera with immediate effect,” wrote Sibanda.

“We wish the coaches well in their next challenges, and we strongly appreciate their duties and contributions to the team.”
