Music producer Alicious Ali has released a teaser of his forthcoming track “Vimaldo”, which is currently trending on social media.
Ali, who is a Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA) nominee, said the song was inspired by real-life events.
“Honestly speaking, having people listening to my productions and falling in love with my sound is just amazing, but getting a ZIMA nomination under the best producer of the year category takes things to a whole new level,” he said.
“It is actually my first nomination since I started this musical journey. It brings me joy and triumph to get recognised and appreciated on a national level.”
Ali, who produced Feli Nandi’s hit song “Mubayei”, added: “One of the things I believe to have mastered is the ability to manoeuvre across genres. It allows me to fuse and mix genres breaking ‘the box’. I do not stick to basics
“I am a self-taught keyboardist and an intermediate guitar player, making it easier for me to create sounds and melodies at the blink of an eye. I got to where I am because of hard work and the need to be myself.”
