DR TINASHE ERIC MUZAMHINDO, the chief executive officer of the Zimbabwe Institute of Strategic Thinking, recently launched his new book titled “Growth Transformative Strategy” in Harare.

The event was graced by senior Government officials, among them the Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Development, Dr Polite Kambamura; and Dr Benson Dube, the Permanent Secretary in Vice President Kembo Mohadi’s Office.

Also in attendance were entrepreneurs, students, company directors and the public.

Dr Vivec Solanki, the chief executive officer of the Trauma Centre, bought a copy of the book for a cool US$1 000.

Not to be outdone, banker Dr Nigel Chanakira got his copy for US$800.

In total, at least US$5 000 was raised from book sales.

Dr Muzamhindo gave a brief summary of the book.

“‘Growth Transformative Strategy’ helps developing nations to achieve their visions through creating an enabling environment for business to thrive, attracting foreign direct investment and promoting innovation and technology adoption,” he said.

Written in an African context and targeting government structures, the private sector, state entities, parastatals, research institutions and the public sector, the book uses Zimbabwe as a case study.

Dr Muzamhindo said by adopting this book, developing nations can position themselves as competitive global players on the international stage.

This is his third book.

“Try New Spanners” and “Organisations, Institutions and Leadership” are his other publications.
