THE much-anticipated Heroes of Faith Concert, featuring Nigerian gospel singer Minister GUC, will be held on Tuesday at the Belgravia Sports Club.

Born Gift Ugochukwu Christopher, the composer and songwriter has become one of the most sought-after praise singers in Africa.

Minister GUC rose to fame after releasing his debut album, “The Message”, in 2020.

Some of the outstanding songs on the album included “God of Vengeance”, “Knowing You”, “All that Matters”, “Desperate” and “Yours”

SetUp Events public relations manager Rudo Magwenzi said the concert was going to cater for different tastes.

“We are thrilled to have such a diverse and talented line-up of artistes for the Heroes of Faith Concert. All these artistes bring their own unique style and sound to the stage, creating a rich and dynamic musical experience for the audience,” she said.

“This concert is not just about the music, but also about commemorating the heroes who have sacrificed their lives for spreading of the gospel and the promotion of faith in Zimbabwe.”

Supporting Minister GUC will be Takesure Zamar, Janet Manyowa, dynamic groups Spirit Praise and Joyful Praise, Minister Ellard and Sharon Cherayi.

Magwenzi said the concert is a tribute to those who have sacrificed their lives in keeping the gospel of Christ alive.

“It is also a celebration of the heroes who have fought for our freedom to exercise our faith without hindrance. The concert serves as a platform to amplify the voices of people who promote a peaceful, just and sustainable world. We are remembering the heroes who have made these freedoms possible.

Veteran gospel singer Pastor G showered praise on his Nigerian counterpart.

“Minister GUC represents the epitome of contemporary African revival worship, which is spirit-filled, Jesus-centred and kingdom-               minded.

“GUC, for me as an artiste, is phenomenal in terms of the revival that is happening across the African continent. Sharing the stage with him is such an honour and I believe God is doing something new in Africa,” said Pastor G.
