Hunt for Greatness

Milton Kamwendo

We are designed for love, and drawn towards its great powers. Love is the tinder of all greatness.

It is impossible to be great at what you do not love. You can be good – but not great.

Sustaining grit for greatness without love is impossible.

Greatness calls for staying power because its journey will always have trying moments, challenging stages and thorny moments. Desiring greatness at bargain prices is a lost shopping cause.

Love is blind to price but always alert to value of great things.

Through some power that I do not know, love draws out things that are deeply held within and draws on energies that you could have never thought you had. Love is poetry to the soul and delivers songs of greatness. Love does not know the spelling of the word: “impossible!” All it can say is, “I’m possible”.

Never let adversity blind you to the possibilities you possess. Never let any obstacle sway you from the way.

When you find your passion and throw yourself into it you become unstoppable. Delays come, but they cannot stop you.

You do what you never thought you could. You plough through all adversity and can still smile, despite the sighs. When you operate in love, genius flows through you and defies the challenges that come your way.

Love flows and challenges whatever mountain stands in the way. Through love and  power, creativity and flow lift you to do what you could have never done.

The human make-up is such that carrying hate, bitterness, jealousy and anger just harms thought streams and deposits toxicity and disease in blood streams. Let love lead the way to greatness and your path will be clearer.

Dream and fall in love with your dreams. When dreams are pursued with deep love, you are willing to learn all you can. Pursue your goals  with all that you have got. Keep moving ahead and pursuing greatness. Allow love to lead the way.

Perhaps some of the best words ever written about love, its brilliant hues and unfathomable power were written by Paul of Tarsus in 1 Corinthians 13 of the Bible. This passage has been read in schools, at weddings, in churches, homes and other places countless times. It reads:

“If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

“Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.

“When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.

“All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

Three things will last forever — faith, hope, and love — and the greatest of these is love.”

Love what you do and whatever product or service you offer dignify it with love. Let love lead the way.

Whatever you love you will feed. Whatever you feed and fuel will grow stronger. Use your energy with care and your resources mindfully.

Do not waste time feeding your fears, fuelling rumours, fellowshipping around misery and focusing on what is not working and where you are not going. Love is driven by attention. Choose where you place your attention. You do not have the luxury of running aimlessly, gunning towards nothing, grounding yourself into negativity.

When you change the focus towards what you really love, you change what you see. When you change the conversations you entertain you, shift your energy.

To move forward and do great things, deliberately spend time feeding your future and not focusing on frustrating pests, problems and people.

When you change the agenda, and facilitator, you transform the tempo of a meeting and the focus of thought.  Love always needs to be fed. Whatever you feed will grow stronger. Feed your fears and your will become fearful, frustrated and faint-hearted. Love works best when it is bold and confident. Feed your faith and you will be firm, focused and free to dream and dance with life.

Unhinge yourself from everything that shackles you down, grounds you in negativity and chains you to fear. Feed what you love – the things that give you momentum and a massive push for greatness.

Love is an ongoing celebration. Whatever you celebrate grows. Stop celebrating mediocrity and setting for yourself too low and too negative a bar.

Love sees the future and is able to endure the present.

Celebrate the future today and your will amplify your dreams and stir up your potential. Spend more time with people that progress, and are inspired to do great things.

Love greatness and make it a magnificent obsession. Be obsessed with greatness and every day learn something that takes you forward.

Re-imagine the future you love, reboot your goals, realign your life to that magnificent vision.

Be obsessed with going forward and not with standing still or reclining in negative despondency.

Stop regretting that you lost opportunity and start creating the experiences you desire and dream of. Declare your love and write out your goals in big bold letters and announce to the world that you are coming! Focus daily on the path to greatness like you never failed. Stop recounting your failures and start reflecting on the future you are creating.

The future is so big that it cannot fit into the negative pockets of the past.

Be on the look out for people that strengthen your resolve to be great. Love being around people that challenge your faith, stretch your imagination and power your mental muscles.

Get around people that inspire, challenge and stretch you to be what you have never been and to see with new eyes the wonder around you.

Do not settle for thorns when you can have the roses. Do not make your boundary small, your horizon too near, your ceiling too low. Love is always expanding in depth and horizon.

Make your goals your love dare and get moving towards them. Set them, see them and pursue them with your might and imagination.

Pursue your goals with passion until they scream with delight. Your goals have been waiting for you to get up and get them.

Decide that your experience of life will now be different. Every goal has magnetic power, so set goals that are big, bold and inspiring.

Every problem has many faces; so choose the one you want to look at. Every problems has a seed of profit within it and a jacket of greatness around it. See clearly with eyes of vision, heart of mission and brain of strategy.

Stop complaining about things that are pole vaulting others to greatness. Stop thinking like a loser, talking like a losing loafer, that is looking for the easy way out to no-where.

You are destined for greatness.  Learn all you can, change all you can, but do not stop moving and loving your desired future. Honour your goals by pursuing them with focus, and massive determined action.

Committed to your greatness.
