Learners geared up for studies

AS all schools in the country reopened for the second term on May 8, Munashe Private High was not left behind.

The day before, the road leading to Mutoko Centre, where the school is located, was busy.

In their unique uniform, jovial and eager to learn, the learners were geared up for the second term. Learning started in earnest on the first day of the term; it was serious business throughout the school.

We had an opening assembly to chart the way forward, as per tradition, when beginning a new term.

The second term, often the longest, is usually demanding on the part of learners.

However, we are usually excited to reunite after the holidays. We always devote time to share a lot of things — including notes, news and food.

In the modern-day situation, a lot is happening and so fast among the youth.

There is a lot of mischief among youngsters, with some being swept by the wayside.

The fact that we met again in good health was the major reason for our celebration.

We are under strict rules at school.

Learners need to toe the line as this is beneficial to them, unlike when they are deviants.

Success only comes from being disciplined. There is no place under the sun where discipline is not a requirement.

Following the straight and narrow path leads to a brighter future.

One step at a time, and we shall ultimately strike gold.

To my colleagues, the best advice is for you to stick to your school work and never fall victim to the temptations of this world.

A bright future is only for those who are consistent and steadfast.
