KING Isaac, a Zimbabwe-born reggae/Afro-jazz singer who is based in the United States, has released a new album titled “Love Talk”.

Love — a deeply emotional subject — is the major theme of the album.

Born Isaac Kalumbu, King Isaac also did a collaboration with Kearoma Rantao, a well-known jazz artiste who hails from Botswana.

The duo worked together on the melodious song titled “Africa Pearl”.

On the album are two pre-released songs “The Score” and “Uye Uye”.

On “The Score”, King Isaac collaborated with Jamaican reggae legend Chaka Demus. Both “The Score” and “Uye Uye” performed well on local music charts.

“The Score” was adjudged the 2022 Classic 263 Song of the Year.

It was also ranked number one on the same station’s 2022 Top 50 chart show.

“Uye Uye” was voted number four on the same chart show.

Among the love songs on the new album are “Women Like That”, “Love of All Senses”, “Love Train”, “Secret Admirer” and the title track “Love Talk”.

“Castles in The Sky”, “To Win Your Love”, “Woman Like That” and “Why Can’t You See” are some of the songs that constitute the album.

Speaking from his base in Michigan, King Isaac, who is also a professor of ethnomusicology, said the album seeks to spread the gospel of “real love”.

“Love is the foundation of human existence. When we talk about love, we are talking about true love between a man and a woman, who are building a family together.

“We are not talking about lustful or cheap love that is just physical, with partners hopping from one to the other,” King Isaac said.

He also spoke about the positive responses the new album has had thus far.

“We have been getting encouraging responses.

“This makes me feel good because we work hard on every track. We do not have filler tracks,” added the songwriter.
