HOW MINE coach Kelvin Kaindu was far from being impressed despite his team getting the better of his former team in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash at Luveve yesterday.

Kaindu accused his team of a shoddy performance and thanked God for handing his side victory in a match he says they could have easily lost.

Second half goals from Godfrey Nguwodzawo and Kuda Musharu swing the tie in the home team’s favour.
Kaindu said it was a tough match but was disappointed how his team played adding he was glad to pick up the three points.

“I thank God we managed to get three points and keep a clean sheet because it was a tough match and we struggled a lot.
“The whole team played below par and was a pale shadow of the team that played against Chicken Inn. It is not every day that you can play this badly and still manage to win,” he said,

Triangle lived to rue the two clear cut chances they created in the first half.
Malvern Gaki could have given them the lead in the 34th minute but the forward failed to beat a drawn out Munyaradzi Diya, the How Mine goalie.

Four minutes later Gaki set up Tawanda Muyendi but after shaking off How Mine defenders he released a poor shot that was blocked by Diya.

The second half saw Triangle continue with their dominance but it was How Mine who managed to break the deadlock in the 75th when a Charles Sibanda taken corner kick found substitute Nguwodzawo who tapped it in at the far post.

Musharu scored a header, his first for the season, three minutes to kill the contest.
Triangle coach, David ‘Yogi’ Mandigora said it was not their day.

“I’m very disappointed with the result because it is our first loss of the season but we played our best football and it wasn’t our day.

“We created several chances but couldn’t bury them but they managed to score from the corner and set piece,” said Mandigora whose team was yet to concede a goal prior to yesterday’s tie.
