MARK HARRISON has warned CAPS United to put their house in order, failure of which he will consider other local options.

Harrison has been heavily linked to the ZPC Kariba job following the sacking of Saul Chaminuka a fortnight ago, but no official contact has been made so far.

The Englishman has had a turbulent stay at Makepekepe where he has gone for months without salary.

Last week, he was almost evicted from his lodgings in Borrowdale after the club failed to pay the rentals.

“At the end of the day I have got to support my family just like any other man. If I don’t start getting paid now then I would be open to other options.

“I have heard a lot about the ZPC Kariba link; I have also been linked with FC Platinum, but no official contact has been made.

“Right now I am sticking with CAPS United, giving them time to correct the situation, but it has got to be as soon as possible,” Harrison said last night.

The nomadic coach has been charmed by Zimbabwe and says he wouldn’t mind staying in the country for “as long as it takes.”

“I have no problem working in Zimbabwe, it is a beautiful country with nice people and I wouldn’t mind staying in this country for as long as it takes.

“I just hope things normalise at CAPS United because this is the team at my heart,” he said.

Makepekepe host in-form Chapungu at the National Sports Stadium this afternoon without controversial striker Roderick Mutuma, who claims to have quit the financially crippled side.

Harrison has already planned for life after the gangly striker.

“Life has to go on and we will have to make do without his services, but in all fairness to Roddy (Mutuma) has to consider his family also.

“I am not one to say he is right or wrong; he is a grown up person who has to make his own decisions and follow them through.

“We are focused on Chapungu now, but I must admit our opponents are tough; they are full of confidence and are a very physical side. They will make life difficult for us.”

Meanwhile, Chapungu coach John Nyikadzino is not reading much into the Makepekepe situation.

“Since day one CAPS United have been facing all sorts of off-field problems, but on the field of play they have been one of the best sides.

“I rate them highly because they have lost only twice this season and of those two losses one was that walk-over at How Mine; so, I am not reading much into the troubles at CAPS United.

“It is good we have been picking up vital points and it is our wish that we do well against a tough opponent,” said Nyikadzino.
