FC PLATINUM turned on the style and gave new Buffaloes coach, Saul Chaminuka, a rude awakening in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League tie at Mandava yesterday.
Wellington Kamudyariwa scored a brace while defender Gift Bello scored his debut goal before Tarisai Rukanda sealed the rout.
Buffaloes got their goal from Jacob Muzokomba on 26 minutes.
Kamudyariwa opened the floodgates in the 18th minute when he drove home following a goal mouth melee.
Bello headed home on 28 minutes before Rukanda added a third two minutes later.
Kamudyariwa returned to haunt the visitors on the hour mark.
FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza was impressed with how his team, which was missing Donald Ngoma, who is in Tanzanzia finalising his move to Young Africans, was ruthless.
“I am excited by the victory, our biggest this season. We are improving.
“Very few people gave us a chance when we went to play TP Mazembe in DRC last weekend but we held them 1-all and came back highly motivated.
“I am happy that the guys are playing well and everyone is working hard. I give them credit. We need to be consistent. However, I wanted more goals because for the past three years Dynamos have been winning the league on goal difference.”
Chaminuka conceded defeat.
“We made a lot of mistakes and in my first game I saw a lot of things that are in the wrong. My players are not very fit but after three or four weeks we are going to get it right” said Chaminuka.
