IT seems if you are not a Mupostori there is no chance in Hell that Kallisto Pasuwa will let you work as his assistant at the Warriors.
Pasuwa got paid last week and there is no better time to give him the straight talk than today. The money he got from Weaknail, no Wicknell, will act as shock absorbers during this bumpy ride.
Look, there is no doubt that Pasuwa has done well with the national team but his habit of telling the employer who to employ and who not to employ is full of bull.
I don’t know why Phillip Chiyangwa and his team tolerate it.
The Warriors gaffer threatened to quit after Zifa decided to rope in Wellington Mpandare as the stand-in manager after weeks of Shariff Mussa going AWOL.
At first glance that decision looked as if Chiyangwa was rewarding Mpandare for being his campaign manager.
However, the truth is Mussa has a habit of cherry picking when to attend to Warriors business and had been missing in action for a while hence the decision to rope in the former Gunners manager on an interim basis.
I also hear Mussa doesn’t sleep in camp!
Were it not for the fact that Mpandare is “son” to PHD Ministries’ founder Prophet Walter Magaya he would have been team manager, VaShagare reckons.
Remember Pasuwa and his assistant Madzibaba Saul Chaminuka believe Magaya is a fraud and the pair always made it a point to avoid meeting the Prophet during the days when PHD doled out those offerings to the national team.
Pasuwa and his manager Gibson Mahachi – a good guy occasionally given to saying crap like “The Sunday Mail Sports desk wrote the story on Pasuwa not being paid because they had failed to extort money from Chivayo” – can deny it all they want. But it was all about Magaya.
One of these days we will go down this not-so-pleasant path with Mahachi.
Now, after getting his way on Mpandare our beloved Pasuwa is also trying to flex his muscles and have Pio Mhizha replace Nation Dube as the Warriors assistant coach.

Pio Mhizha, comrades. His friend, church mate and former DeMbare teammate.
Recently Pasuwa expressed reservations about having Under-20 coach Jairos Tapera as one of his assistants arguing: “Pio anogona kungoita take over.”

Look I am Dynamos all the way but Pio cannot be the national team assistant coach. Not in a million years! And not after those million years either.
This country is full of good coaches who can add value, not just spiritual water and stones, to the national team.
Yes, Taurai Mangwiro once cried before his players during his days at Monomotapa but remains a good coach, a man who understands the concept of submission.
Suddenly Joey Antipas looks like Stevie Wonder with those designer glasses he is wearing but the fact that he is one of the best coaches in the land has not changed.
To some it would seem like a fashion statement by the Chicken Inn coach but the truth is Mafero recently had an eye operation and those glasses are protective.
Sadly, the man who turned down the chance to replace Pasuwa after Zifa had got fed up with his “no I cannot work with this person” gospel is not a Madzibaba.
On a conclusive note, Chiyangwa and his team must put their foot down and get a Warriors assistant coach in place.
