SOUL Jah Love is set to sample new songs off his latest album “Kuponda Nhamo” when he takes to the stage at Private Lounge in Harare this Thursday.

The talented artiste who boasts six awards in his short musical career is set to share the stage with another award-winner, dendera crooner Suluman “Captain Sulu” Chimbetu.

Dubbed “Chibaba meets Chibaba Chenyuchi Concert”, the show will be the first time that Soul Jah Love (“Chibaba”) shares the stage with Sulu (“Chibaba Chenyuchi) in the capital since the release of their duet “Nyuchi”.

“Nyuchi”, which is exceedingly popular with both dendera and dancehall fans, was featured on Sulu’s latest album, “Gunship”.

Soul Jah Love, who last weekend shared the stage with Sulu in Mutare, says the dendera crooner is helping him with his career.

“Sulu is my brother, we have become very close and he has promised to help me with my career as well as personal life. Even as I prepare to launch my album this April, I’m in constant touch with Sulu because he has been doing these album launches for a long time.”

The “Gum Kum” singer who pularised the chant “Hauite Hauite” said his “fans just have to show up, buy the CD for US$5 and get in for free”.

He went on: “Nyuchi hobho – vanhu ngavauye vatore huchi kuzvibaba zvenyuchi. I have never seen people go so wild like they did in Mutare when we performed the song. We have fine-tuned the act and on Thursday we are taking it to a whole new level.”
