INTERCESSORS for Zimbabwe (IFZ), a parachurch and inter-denominational prayer movement, is calling the nation to observe 40 days of prayer starting next month to improve the country’s fortunes.
The initiative, which is slated for November 6 to December 13 will run under the theme “Going back to God.”
IFZ national coordinator Reverend John Chimbambo said there is need for the nation to stand united. “You do not need to be religious to see that we need God. No one has an answer, so as Christians, we need to call on God. As the body of Christ, we must come together; if we are united, we will come out strong,” said Rev Chimbambo.
IFZ administrator, Pastor Lovemore Chakwenya, said the call to prayer transcends personalities or interests. IFZ, which brings together different Christian denominations, has been operating since 1992.
