Beyond the Cover: Linking inspiration with Biblical principles

The Sunday Mail

The world is full of talented people with vast abilities but some might never get to realise their full potential.
Sometimes what they need is inspiration to propel them from the crevices of doubt to the pinnacle of possibility.
Inspiration is like the light that increases the visibility of the path ahead, facilitating progress towards goals while at the same time acting as a springboard for creativity.
In this day and age in which people are constantly searching for prosperity, many inspirational writers have emerged and are publishing books that contain ingredients for achieving such.
Simba Nyamadzawo is one of the writers that are becoming experts in inspirational writing. His recent publication “Faithpreneurship”, is loaded with life changing content.
Being the founder of Infinite Inspiration Group, a respected leadership and business development organisation, Nyamadzawo is well-versed in success and leadership principles.
As the title suggests, this book manages to synchronise physical and spiritual principles, establishing a link between the word of God and academic solutions.
In the first chapter of the book in which the writer talks about leadership, he started off by a John Quincy Adams quote which says: “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more then you are a leader.”
He was trying to highlight that society is in need of personalities that take leading roles in inspiring others.
The writer points out that there is a need for leaders who are solution bearers and architects of the future.
“We need people who will initiate and follow through great programmes and projects.
“Leaders who are pioneers and who are not afraid to step out of the comfort zone and trail blaze in territories they have not been before,” he writes.
Nyamadzawo also described leadership as public service that calls for personal sacrifice.
As I read on, I grasped some of the essential tools that are necessary in achieving success as a leader.
In one of the paragraphs, Nyamadzawo says, “In essence, leaders should see themselves as instruments and vessels for positive societal transformation that surpasses the time span of their own life on earth.”
The chapter that discusses business is also enlightening, with the writer making use of biblical references to highlight that God gave everyone the power to dominate.
“After God created man in His own image, He gave him a kingdom mandate to dominate the world and as such, for us to dominate this earth, it means we must be in control of the means of production which is land, labour, capital and enterprise,” says Nyamadzawo.
He goes on to quote Genesis 1vs 28 which reads: “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
This book tries to encourage people and cultivate hope for those who want to get into business and successfully dominate.
The writer also managed to shed light on some principles about money and how it can be managed.
In this section, several issues that include elimination of debt, banking, cash flow management and budgeting, among other things are discussed.
The relationship between success and money is also delved on with the writer highlighting that success should not be measured with the amount of money that one has but rather by their achievements and how they impact on others.
“If you and I are going to make an impact and transform the lives of many people as well as to leave footprints of a positive legacy on the sands of time, we need to put money in its proper place and pray for the wisdom to acquire it, manage it and multiply it,” he says.
“Faithpreurship” is meant to take you to a whole new level of self-belief.
The writer did not disappoint in providing appropriate references from the Bible and life stories of other successful individuals. If you are in need of inspiration and spiritual guidance in the path towards attaining your dreams, this book should be stacked up on your bookshelf.
