DYNAMOS will face How Mine in the quarterfinals of the $433 000 Easycall Top 8 Cup that was launched in Harare on Thursday afternoon.

Caps United have a date with Hwange, FC Platinum clash with Highlanders while last year’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League runners up ZPC Kariba will battle current log leaders Chicken Inn in the other quarterfinal fixtures.

The quarterfinal clashes will be held on the weekend of November 14-15 and the venues will be decided by the Premier Soccer League in due course.

Dynamos, ZPC Kariba, Caps United and FC Platinum finished as the top four in that order last season and were seeded in the draw.

The top eight teams in the final log standings of the 2014 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season are eligible for the 2015 Easycall Top 8 tourney.

This means holders of last year’s One Wallet Cup Triangle, who finished ninth, are out of this year’s version.

Winners will pocket $80 000 with the losing finalists walking away $50 000 richer.

The losing semi finalists are guaranteed $30 000 each while the first round casualties will get $20 00 each.

The semi final will take place during the weekend of December 6-7 with the final coming a week later.

NetOne’s Chief Executive Officer Reward Kangai assured more support for the local game from his company while the PSL boss Kenny Ndebele pledged a “well run” tournament.

“Football brings millions of people together, it is estimated that 80 percent of Zimbabweans love soccer. So, as a big network provider we feel duty bound to support the people’s game,” said Kangai.

“We pledge to support your brand through staging a successful tournament. We do not condone acts of hooliganism and we urge clubs to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the tournament,” said Ndebele.
