SEVERAL parts of Harare do not have water after a power outage at Morton Jaffray Water Treatment Plant, it has been learnt.
Harare City Council (HCC) spokesperson Mr Stanley Gama said: “Morton Jaffray experienced a power failure and the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority has indicated that there is a problem on the Parkridge Sub-Station feeder.
“The alternative Norton feeder was lost on October 17 and is also yet to be restored.”
According to HCC, only areas supplied from Prince Edward Water Treatment Plant are accessing water, and these include Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, Hatfield, parts of Chitungwiza, Mbare, Sunningdale and Graniteside.
