OUR minds are often scant in our efforts to solicit answers. Meditation can help us latch onto the fundamental principles of life. Yes, we cannot be omniscient but the preeminent in meditation can acquire the essence of success, wisdom.

Let’s go down a lane of thought that will set you on a new course in life and hopefully on a path to success. Wisdom is essential because it once saved a village when money could not.

On a hot, sunny day a tree’s roots wish they could get a glimpse of the sun and yet its leaves wish they could hide from the scotching heat. Always be happy with what you have because you are better off than someone else in this world. Is your glass half full or half empty? Life depends on how you look at it so be positive in all you do in life.

Ants are very small but they build extremely huge anthills in comparison. Never look down upon yourself because of how small you are, you have the potential to reach the stars.

A small stone from a sling of a small shepherd killed the giant Goliath. A simple and straight forward solution can solve a very big problem.

A lion is the king of the jungle though it is not the biggest animal. It is not about size in life but about standing your ground against all odds. You can do anything no matter how small you are.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen”. Set your targets high and you will go higher. If you have a cake and cut a quarter, it doesn’t matter whether you eat it or throw it away because at the end of the day only three quarters of the cake remain. Live freely but be careful not to waste your life.

A bee stings only once and goes on to die. Be careful not to act out of anger and live to regret, some things cannot be reversed.

A snake does not die from its venom but other creatures do. Watch your mouth because your words might be a spear to the heart. If a snake dies with its venom then other creatures will rejoice.

Live right with the people around you so that even in your absence your name lives on. You don’t drown by falling in water but by staying there. Whenever you fall, rise up and try to walk again because it’s by falling that a young child learns to walk.

Failure is not judged by what you didn’t do but by what you could do but did not do. So, exhaust your capacity and be a winner in life. You can rush in life and unknowingly exceed some targets. Take it nice and easy with life so as to come by every nitty-gritty. Sometimes slowest is fastest!

Have you ever wondered why the earth is spherical and not flat or rectangular? Always know there is a reason behind all things in life.

A farmer plants each year though he is not guaranteed of a harvest. It is by faith that he prospers. Believe in what you are doing in order to succeed. Though the earth is spherical to the human eye it seems flat. In life, things are not always as they seem.

How loyal is the ground that no matter how hard we tremple on it, still it gives us food?

Sometimes we have to let people be on top of us, it might be a benefit in disguise.

Holding a small stone is easy but with time the hand feels heavy. Be careful what you hold on to in your life because some things will just wear you out without much benefit.

Oliver Wendell Holmes was correct when he said, “a mind stretched to a new idea never goes back to its original dimensions.” Once you set your mind towards acquiring wisdom then you are never going back.
