EXACTLY 49 days ago this oracle, this gem of a columnist aptly named Sir delivered a message to Dynamos and their mythical, never changing seven million supporters.

It’s a message they didn’t want to hear but one they needed to hear.

As he looked into the spiritual realm, Sir saw Denver Mukamba wearing green and smiling while seven million souls wailed in pain.

Sir sought answers from the football gods.

“Son, this boy will come back to haunt Dynamos and jobs will be lost because of the way he will make the Green Machine even more lethal,” the football gods said.

Having spent sometime with higher powers, the Great Sir emerged to write a piece headlined “DeMbare may regret Mukamba deal” on March 11, 2018.

“Dynamos might have made a fatal mistake in loaning out Denver Mukamba to their city rivals … Maybe DeMbare were too desperate to see the back of Mukamba that they did not think through this one properly.

“The stone that they just threw away has a chance to shine at their bitter rivals. And every good game Mukamba will have in green is bound to see some Chazunguza supporters questioning the wisdom of loaning him out to Caps United of all teams.

“At Caps United, the players get tough love, working under a shape up or ship out command. Mukamba will surely benefit from such an approach and when he gets firing, DeMbare will start crying,” read some nuggets from that masterpiece.

As usual when one cuts too close to the Dynamos bone, the Blue Army throw everything, including the kitchen sink.

“Hausi mune webhora. (Your are not a football person). Denver is a failure and will not score a single goal for your beloved Caps United. Time will tell and you will be ashamed,” charged one DeMbare fan who signed of as Tirimusango Wenje.

Indeed time has told its tale and it’s not a good one for those with blue blood.

Mukamba is far from being finished as DeMbare and Lloyd Mutasa found out to their detriment in last weekend’s Harare Derby.

Given the freedom to express himself, Mukamba showboated but was effective. He deserved the goal he scored- and the money he was showered with by the Makepekepe fans.

Publicly, Mutasa claimed he had no regrets about letting Mukamba go. Privately, the man who could be jobless as soon as this evening must be kicking himself for making an emotional decision.

The quality that Quality Kangadze did not show on the several occasions he came face to face with Caps United goalkeeper Prosper Chigumba oozed out of Mukamba last Sunday.

The confidence Kuda Kumwala lacked in that iconic number 13 jersey was written all over Mukamba with the Caps United midfielder occasionally trying the audacious on such grand a stage.

As predicted questions are now being asked about Mutasa’s decision to send Denver packing and the inquest doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon.

Dynamos godfather Bernard Marriot Lusengo aka Magitare is understood to have quizzed Mutasa about the Mukamba issue during last week’s crisis indaba in the capital.

What makes the DeMbare’s coach situation untenable is the fact that in getting rid of Mukamba an emotional Mutasa publicly defied his bosses.

The DeMbare executive, just like some fans of the club, were in favour of giving Mukamba one more chance but Mutasa would have none of it, he would have none of Denver.

And with that act of defiance Mutasa was given the long rope, a rope which appears to be bringing his DeMbare reign to a not so glorious end.
