HARARE Province are the winners of the 12th edition of the Zimbabwe National Youth Games after piping Masvingo with one gold medal after amassing a total of 17.
The games came to an end 23rd of August, Saturday with stiff competition
The hosts finished as runners up for the second consecutive year while defending champions Bulawayo ended third with nine gold medals.
Masvingo established themselves as champions in boxing collecting six gold medals two more than Harare province. The gold medal in men’s handball was also claimed by Harare
In tennis and basketball it was Harare who emerged victorious while Masvingo dug their feet in netball and men’s football.
The women’s football gold medal went to Mashonaland Central while Harare which was tied to Bulawayo on seven gold medals in athletics won by superior number of silver medals.
While Masvingo collected the gold medals in edutainment and women’s volleyball, the men’s version was claimed by Harare.
