VIXENS and JBC emerged as the biggest winners of round 13 of the Harare Basketball Association Super Six League played at the City Sports Centre on Saturday.

Vixens’ women edged Bunnies 59-54 to claim their seventh straight victory of the campaign.

The Harare and national defending women’s champions also closed the gap between them and table-toppers UZ Sparks, who went down 61-49 to JBC.

The two teams are now tied on 23 points after 13 matches, with UZ Sparks topping the women’s log standings due to a superior aggregate score.

JBC are third, two points down, while the race for survival looks to carry into yet another round of fixtures.

Harare City Hornets women beat Greenstars 40-39 and now find themselves tied on 17 points with Bunnies.

Greenstars anchor the women’s standings but find themselves just a point behind Hornets and Bunnies.

In the men’s category, JBC remains unbeaten, with their latest scalp coming in the form of an 81-56 win over Leopards Academy.

The runaway favourites for the men’s title have a perfect record of 13 straight victories and top the men’s log standings with 26 points from 13 matches.

Leopards Academy are second, seven points behind JBC, while Foxes are third with 18 points from 14 matches.

The defending Harare and national champions, Foxes, are fresh off their biggest win of the season after beating UZ Stars 96-55.

Harare City Hornets men beat the Bucs 52-40.

Foxes, Bucs and Harare City Hornets are all tied on 18 points, while UZ Stars anchor the men’s log standings with 17 points from 13 matches.
