The picture that will haunt Chamisa forever

SOMEONE once wrote that: “We must learn from our mistakes. But if we keep on repeating the same mistake then we are suffering from a learning disability called stupidity.”

Just before the 2000 general elections, late MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai did something that showed he was suffering from this learning disability.

As he was preparing for elections, Tsvangirai scored an own political goal when he was seen clapping hands like an over-excited toddler while receiving cash and cheques from white commercial farmers who thought he could stop the historic land reform programme.

That picture haunted Tsvangirai until he passed on in 2018 and destroyed the MDC.

It’s now 22 years since Tsvangirai killed his political career with that moment of madness, but it looks like this Western-sponsored political party hasn’t learnt anything from that suicidal incident.

A few weeks ago, leader of the MDC, which has rebranded to CCC, Nelson Chamisa did exactly what Tsvangirai did in 2000. The only difference is that while Tsvangirai received cash and cheques in 2000, Chamisa, in 2022, received direct and clear orders from his Western masters.

Chamisa met British academic, Stephen Chan and was given direct and clear orders. Sponsors of his party were worried about his structure-less political faction and so they sent Chan with orders. They wanted Chamisa to show them direction which his party is going as the country heads towards the 2023 elections.

Like an obedient puppet, Chamisa listened and followed instructions religiously. He hurriedly came up with a shadow cabinet to please Western masters. The move quickly backfired and seeing that he had been exposed, Chamisa tried to sound clever by saying this was not a shadow cabinet. Unfortunately for poor Chamisa, Chan has a loud mouth and he couldn’t be silenced.

“I am very happy he (Chamisa) has done this. During our meeting, and in some of my media interviews, while in Zimbabwe, I stressed the need for the West to know with whom it would be dealing, portfolio by portfolio, in the event of a 2023 CCC electoral victory,” said Chan with no shame at all.

A visibly shaken Chamisa rhetorically asked: “Who is Chan?” He was trying to give the impression that he had never met Chan, but then in this digital media era, lying has become very difficult and expensive. Soon a picture surfaced of a smiling Chamisa shaking hands with Chan. The boy was devastated.

Just like Tsvangirai’s picture clapping hands after receiving dirty money in 2000, that picture with Chan will haunt Chamisa for the rest of his political life.

Renowned author, Kilroy J. Oldster wrote in one of his best-selling books, “Dead Toad Scrolls” that: “Desperate and dammed persons share an affinity for flirting with danger; an infectious case of erotic morbidity fetters them to self-destruction.”

Since the exposure by Chan, Chamisa has been kicking himself a bid to salvage his crumbling political fortunes. He has even recruited women of questionable morals to throw mud all over the place but all his efforts to rescue himself have been in vain.

With the tide clearly against him, Chamisa has been trying his best to survive, but in doing so, he is fast confirming Oldster’s observation that “desperate and dammed persons share an affinity for flirting with danger.”

Indeed, Chamisa is flirting with danger as he has been pressing the self-destructive baton with worrying frequency over the past few weeks. How does one expect his political career to be saved by women of questionable morals?

Chan’s statement is going to have far-reaching implications in Chamisa’s political life. He can no longer deny the fact that he is a puppet of the West. The way he danced to their tune was enough to show even his gullible supporters that he is not his own man.

Soon after scoring the own goal, the panicky Chamisa has been trying to save his crumbling political career by employing some dirty tricks. Clearly, this little boy has a lot of learning to do.

We have been watching and laughing at attempts to create friction between President Mnangagwa and Vice President Chiwenga. It’s clear the fake stories are being cooked up and sponsored by Chamisa and his handlers. They have realised that the combination between President Mnangagwa and Vice President Chiwenga is not only formidable but is fast transforming Zimbabwe.

While the Second Republic has gone on overdrive to rebuild Zimbabwe “brick by brick” through “vene vayo”, foreign investors are suddenly flocking to the country.

Zimbabwe is abuzz with developmental projects and puppets and their masters are panicking. They think the only way to derail development is through dividing the President and his Deputy.

We laugh at the fake stories because, we know exactly what happened in November 2017 and what happened on that historic month can never be broken by fake stories. The relationship between President Mnangagwa and Vice President Chiwenga cannot be broken by little Chamisa. Chana chidoko stereki!

While cooking up fake stories about factions in ZANU PF, Chamisa and his handlers are trying another strategy. And again we laugh our lungs out.

Chamisa and his handlers have finally agreed with ZANU-PF that sanctions are hurting ordinary people and they want to play a fast one on Zimbabweans. From the blue, they are telling us they have the blueprint that could lead to removal of sanctions. Kikiki kikiki!! These kids! They think they are dealing with dunderheads.

Chamisa’s party called for sanctions and they should stop lying about having some blueprint. They should swallow their inflated egos, fly to their masters and confess how stupid they were to call for sanctions in the first place. There is no need for a blueprint.

Anyway, we await the blueprint and as usual, we wait knowing fully well that there is actually no need to wait. Is there anything better or tangible that can come from puppets?

While Chamisa is hallucinating about the sanctions blueprint, developments on the ground are telling a completely different story. The master wont let go of the puppets!

For about 50 days now, the reckless Job Sikhala has been suffering very cold nights behind bars. He was used by his party to incite violence in Chitungwiza and now he is facing the music on his own.

He thought he was being a hero, but with every passing day, he is realising that idiocy does not pay. Hope the other hoodlums in the opposition are learning a thing or two.

Realising that Sikhala is likely to have many cold nights behind bars, the masters have come out in the open in a bid to save their puppet. The masters have assigned Amsterdam & Partners to offer Sikhala some legal advice for free. Kikiki! Free advice, my foot.

Anyway, let the master and the puppies play. They will soon realise Zimbabwe is not a banana republic.

As we gallop towards the 2023 elections, let’s brace ourselves for more drama and lots of laughter!
