Study schedule is crucial

ONE of the busiest times of the new year has come.  For learners like me, it is time to catch up with schoolwork.

The new term promises to be hectic, as learners will meet new teachers, fit into new environments and do new subjects.

Most things will, at first, be difficult, as we try to adapt to the new system.

To cope with the new subjects, one needs to have a study schedule. This will help one in understanding the topics to be covered. Asking teachers for extra help is also necessary. I am optimistic that teachers will be more than willing to offer assistance.

Coming up with study strategies is vital.

The main targets of this term will be trying to understand the new subjects and adapting to the new system at the level a learner is this year.

There are some extracurricular activities that everyone will be excited about – the inter-house sporting competitions. These are held at the beginning of every year.  The inter-house competitions will offer a break from the hectic schedule of schoolwork.

Training and competing against each other will teach us to work hard in order to win the contest and other things in life.
