All seven people travelling in a Bulawayo-bound van died on the spot when a haulage truck rammed into their vehicle along the Bulawayo-Gweru road on Friday night. National police spokesperson Chief Superintenden t Paul Nyathi said the accident occurred after the driver of the van got back onto the road without checking for traffic after a brief roadside stop. The haulage truck driver was uninjured.
