ONE person has died and five others are receiving treatment after a cholera outbreak in Gatshe Gatshe Fishing Camp, Kariba district.
Kariba district Civil Protection Unit and District Development Coordinator Mr El Shaddai Gumbochuma confirmed the outbreak.
“One person has died and has since been buried,” said Mr Gumbochuma.
“At least five others are receiving treatment and recovering well.”
The patients are from the villages and fishing camp. They are receiving treatment at Gatshe Gatshe Clinic.
“The patients are at the clinic (Gatshe Gatshe). But as you know these are highly mobile people who move from camps to villages,” said Mr Gumbochuma.
