Zimpapers, the country’s largest integrated media company, is doing a commendable job by mentoring budding journalists in schools, a top ZANU-PF Women’s League official has said.

In an interview with The Sunday Mail Online on the sidelines of a prize-giving day at Destiny Achievers Group of Schools in Domboshawa on Friday, Cde Nyasha Chikwinya, who is secretary for business development and liaison in the ZANU-PF Women’s League, said: “Destiny Achievers Group of Schools has a partnership with media giant Zimpapers in which budding journalists from the school are equipped with basic skills.  I am very impressed by this partnership between Zimpapers and Destiny Achievers.

“Zimpapers being a giant media house are playing their role in identifying and nurturing future journalists.

“You will see that a lot of talented journalists will come out of this programme.”

Cde Chikwinya also revealed that she will adopt one orphan from the school.

“I will adopt one orphan – a girl – from this school and finance her education up to university.”

Destiny Achievers Group of Schools is owned by Dr Cynthia Gambiza, who has won a number of awards for both philanthropic and academic work.
