An emerging Zimdancehall artist, Tadiwanashe Rahimu, who goes by the stage name Wastak, has taken a stand against drug abuse.
In an interview, the 21-year-old Dzivaresekwa musician emphasised the need to prioritise health and well-being.
“I’ve seen so many of my peers engaging in drugs, which is quite disturbing,” he said. “I discourage the youths from taking drugs as they have destroyed the future of many young people.”
In his music, Wastak advocates for the rights of the girl child and addresses issues such as child marriages and abuse of minors.
Through his artistry, he hopes to inspire change and promote a healthier, more supportive environment for young people in Zimbabwe.
