Fixed telecommunications giant TelOne has embarked on an expansion drive to extend its physical footprint through opening new shop outlets as it seeks to transform into a fully-fledged digital telecommunications company.
Speaking during the opening of an outlet in Hillside, Harare, on Thursday, TelOne managing director Mrs Chipo Mtasa said the thrust seeks to create value and offer convenience to clients through business models that respond to emerging markets.
“As such, we have been on a transformation journey structured around four main pillars, namely: technology transformation, client experience transformation, culture transformation, and financial transformation,” she said.
“To see this dream come to fruition, we have embarked on several projects that include digital solutions for convenience enhancement, upgrading client service outlets, opening new client outlets and aligning staff culture to this trajectory.”
TelOne, she said, will continue to consolidate and strengthen service provision by leveraging the network to offer more value-added services and explore products centred on the Internet of Things.
