Four unknown suspects, armed with two pistols and crowbars, broke a precast wall to gain entry into a company’s premises before attacking two security guards, stealing US$30 000 and a Toyota Hilux vehicle, police have confirmed.
Law enforcement agents are now investigating the case.
In a statement on Thursday, police said the incident occurred in Msasa, Harare early Tuesday morning.
“The suspects proceeded to the company offices, where they broke a safe and stole US$30 000 in cash and keys for a Toyota Hilux single cab (AFB 6321) before driving away with the company vehicle,” reads the statement.
