THE overused National Sports Stadium will host four games during match day 12, as the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clubs’ struggle for suitable venues continues.

New boys, Simba Bhora will kick-start the four-game marathon, when they host Triangle at the giant venue on Friday.

The following day, Cranborne Bullets and CAPS United will lock horns at the same venue.

There will be no time for groundsmen to tend to the turf, as up next will be embattled Dynamos FC coach, Herbert Maruwa and his troops, who will receive ZPC Kariba on Sunday.

ZPC Kariba, whose Nyamhunga home ground failed another Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) First Instance Board Test on Tuesday, have had to resort to the National Sports Stadium for their home games.

The National Sports Stadium is also the venue for the clash between in-form sides, Yadah and Ngezi Platinum Stars, on Monday.

Ngezi Platinum Stars maintained their place at the top of the log, with a 2-1 victory over Dynamos at Baobab last Sunday.

The Mhondoro miners have 20 points, one ahead of second-placed Highlanders, who host another side that is enjoying a purple patch – Bulawayo Chiefs – at Barbourfields on Sunday.

Chicken Inn are third on the log with 18 points, and defending champions, FC Platinum have the same tally, although they have an inferior goal difference.

DeMbare, who are winless in their last five matches, are eighth and five points behind leaders, Ngezi Platinum Stars.

Struggling Black Rhinos anchor the log with six points from 11 games.

Cranborne Bullets, who have been blowing hot and cold, Greenfuel and Sheasham complete the cast that makes up the bottom end of the long table.
