RETURNING coach Bigboy Mawiwi hopes to make an impact in the Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) when he takes charge of his new team, Come Again, on Saturday.

The NRSL season begins on Friday when Ngezi Platinum Under-19 hosts PAM at Baobab Stadium in Mhondoro-Ngezi.

Mawiwi will guide his Come Again outfit on Saturday when they face ZRP Harare at Morris Sports Club.

It will be the first time in 10 years that Mawiwi will be coaching in the NRSL.

In the last decade, he has been in and out of Zimbabwe.

“I’m glad that now we have a team ready to compete,” Mawiwi told NRSL’s official newsletter “The Northern Times”.

“It’s not going to be easy in the first matches because of lack of match fitness and more so against a police outfit.

“You know police and army teams tend to be ahead in terms of fitness and mostly play a physical game. But, all the same, we are aiming for a win in this match.

“A win for us will help the players to build confidence.”
