JBC and UZ Sparks continue to be the teams to beat, as the Harare Basketball Association (HBA) Super 6 log leaders consolidated their position at the top of their respective tables last weekend.

UZ Sparks managed to grind out a result after they edged out Bunnies 52-45 to take their tally to 20 points from 11 games.

Perhaps more interestingly, defending champions Vixens stretched their winning streak to eight games when they beat Greenstars 68-65.

They now find themselves a point behind UZ Sparks in second place.

After losing the opening three matches of the newly christened HBA Super 6, Vixens look to have finally found their mojo

JBC women beat Harare City Hornets 50-44.

It looks to be a three-way tussle for the inaugural HBA Super 6 women’s league between UZ Sparks (20), Vixens (19) and JBC (18), while the trio of Harare City, Greenstars and Bunnies look to avoid the drop.

All three teams on the bottom half of the table are currently tied on 14 points.

In the men’s category, JBC men continue to be the only team in the league yet to taste defeat.

The Harare giants are currently unbeaten in 11 matches, with their latest win coming courtesy of a 69-44 victory over UZ Stars on Sunday.

The win took their tally to 22 points from 11 games, while Leopards Academy, who beat the BUCS 60-51, are second with 16 points from the same number of games.

In the other match, Foxes beat Harare City Hornets 76-68.
