THE availability of green technology products is set to improve after electric vehicle manufacturer Agilitee Africa opened its branch in Zimbabwe last week.

Green technology refers to environmentally friendly products and innovations that promote sustainability by contributing to reduce carbon emissions and protecting the environment.

Agilitee Africa has brought into Zimbabwe green-tech products that include electric bikes, solar systems, electric televisions, electric kettles and other e-energy gadgets.

In an interview with The Sunday Mail Online, Agilitee Africa director Mr Tanaka Kutama said the company is making progress setting up an assembly plant for the manufacture of electric cars.

“We are opening an assembly plant and we will disclose the area in the next few months. The plant is going to create hundreds of jobs through assembling the cars, assembling the motorcycles and other products such as solar systems and TVs that will all uniquely be of green-tech quality.”
