TALENTED female boxer, Kudakwashe ‘Take Money’ Chiwandire, has lambasted Charles Manyuchi’s boxing stable for lack of proper management, as she braces for what she described as “a chance of a life time.”

Chiwandire, who almost quit the sport last year, has dumped the Manyuchi stable and is now under Clyde Musonda’s Deltaforce Boxing Academy, who have lined up a World title fight for the Highfield-bred, multi-talented athlete.

She is set to fight Zambian star, Catherine Phiri, for the prestigious WBC Super Bantamweight Interim World Championship belt in Lusaka on January 29, 2022.

The fight has also been facilitated by Zambian-based stable Oriental Quarries, who have a healthy relationship with Deltaforce Academy.

Oriental Quarries were once home to former WBC Silver welterweight champion, Manyuchi, who has since returned home to start his own stable – the Charles Manyuchi Academy.

Manyuchi’s academy has a number of exciting boxers, but the stable has also lost some promising pugilists in recent times.

Brendon ‘Boika’ Denes deserted the stable for yet unclear reasons, but Chiwandire was blunt on the reasons for her parting ways with the Manyuchi camp, at the title acceptance press conference in Harare on Thursday.

“I felt their (Charles Manyuchi stable) management wasn’t good enough,” Chiwandire said.

“This is the chance I have been waiting for. I almost quit boxing, but here I am today. Maybe God’s time is the best.

“I want to thank you all for coming,” she said.

United States-based promoter, Edward Mendy of Lion Heart, was also present and threw his weight behind Chiwandire.

“This title is not a mickey mouse one. In world boxing we have four serious bodies WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF, so this is a big title fight,” he said.
