The National Blood Services Zimbabwe (NBSZ) is appealing for eligible blood donors to donate blood, as blood bank stocks are running low because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The blood drive, which started today in selected schools in each province, will run up to this Saturday.
Writing on their twitter account, NBSZ said the organisation relies solely on blood donations from the general public.
“There’s still a great need for blood donations to ease blood shortages and you can be the means to saving lives.
“Without the help of selfless blood donors like you, it’s impossible to fill this need. So, schedule your donation at any blood drive happening near you,” said NBSZ.
