Caledonia Mining Corporation recorded an 11,4 percent growth in gold output to 22 000 ounces (oz) for the third quarter to September, 2022, from 19 000oz in the same period last year.

The jump in output came on the back of increased tonnes milled and higher grade.

In terms of the nine months’ performance, the mining concern yielded 59 726oz of gold, which was a 22,2 percent rise from 48 872oz produced in the first nine months of 2021.

Caledonia’s primary asset is the Blanket Gold Mine in Gwanda.

Meanwhile, Caledonia indicated that it was making inroads towards meeting the outstanding conditions to complete its transaction for the Bilboes Mine.

“Caledonia has received certain approvals from the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, and continues to engage with the Competition and Tariff Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Energy, and Fidelity Printers and Refiners (Private) Limited regarding further outstanding approvals,” said the gold producer.
