POPULAR Mutare-based preacher-cum-gospel musician Blessing Shumba has released a new album titled “Zvakazarurwa.”
Some of the songs on the nine-track album are “Ropafadzo,” “Rudo Rwajeso,” “Zvakazarurwa” and “Kereke.”
The album comes at a time when Zimbabweans are picking up the pieces from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The gospel singer said he wants to console everyone and re-ignite hope.
In an interview with The Sunday Mail Online, Shumba said “the message from my album is to preach that our God is there to stand with us”.
“Life is not over,” he said.
“There is a tomorrow, so we need to endure and recover our hope.
“The song ‘Rudo Rwajeso’ is very emotional when you are listening to it.
“It can put you into devotional mood.”
Meanwhile, the artiste bemoaned rampant piracy that is affecting the music industry.
“Piracy is now at a high and someone can easily earn a living at our expense.”
