On May 24, all roads will lead to Panyatsime Cultural and Heritage Centre in Chitungwiza, where the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe will be launching ‘Culture Month’.

Previously known as ‘Traditional Culture Week’, the commemorations were upgraded to National Culture Month, and are scheduled to run throughout May across the country’s 10 provinces.

This year, the commemorations are being run under the theme “Celebrating Cultural Diversity, Leaving No one Behind”.

National Arts Council of Zimbabwe provincial arts manager for Harare Mr William Ndinde said, “This is our new arts, culture and heritage centre, and I urge Harare and Chitungwiza residents to come and be part of the fun.

“Those that are going to come will surely enjoy the variety of cultural activities that we have lined up for them.”
