NEW: African Peer Review Forum convenes to address governance issues

The African Peer Review Forum (APR Forum) of Heads of State and Government is currently underway.

It brings together leaders from across the continent to assess governance challenges and progress within African Union (AU) Member States that have voluntarily joined the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM).

The APR Forum serves as a vital platform where participating Heads of State and Government engage in a peer review process to evaluate Country Review and Targeted Review reports and National Plans of Action.

Additionally, the Africa Governance Report will be presented, offering insights into governance trends and challenges across the continent.

The ongoing session will focus on strategies for enhancing democratic governance, economic management, and social development, ensuring that policies align with the continent’s broader vision for inclusive growth and stability.
