Finance and Economic Development Minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube, will present the 2022 National Budget in Parliament on November 25.
Clerk of Parliament, Mr Kennedy Chokuda, confirmed the date to The Sunday Mail.
“He (Professor Ncube) is supposed to present it on November 25.
“Unless there are any changes; but as far as I know he is supposed to present the 2022 National Budget on that date,” said Mr Chokuda.
Last month, various Parliamentary Portfolio Committees completed their countrywide budget consultations, culminating in the 2022 Pre-Budget Seminar that was held in Victoria Falls.
Speaking ahead of that Victoria Falls indaba, Mr Chokuda urged Parliamentarians to appropriate more funding towards the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
“I have been following the proceedings of various portfolio committees, and what came out clear is that citizens want the CDF to be increased because they have seen how it has managed to bring development in their areas.
“They also want the income tax bands to be reduced so that they have disposable income.
“That came out clear during the hearings,” he said.
