Mufakose 2 held an Alevel Science Laboratory ground breaking ceremony on the 5th of October last week. The ceremony marked the beginning of the construction work for the science lab.
The ceremony was conducted and blessed by the presence of the (P.E.D) Provincial Education Director Mr C.C Katerera and (D.S.I) District Schools Inspector Mr Muzhanje. Mufakose 2 Head, Mrs Kusotera and Deputy Head Mr Chon’ombe, were most deligheted and happy to start the school project expected to be finished in the next coming three months.
Mrs Kusotera expressed her gratitude and honour to the P.E,D nad D.S.I for conducting thr ground breaking ceremony for the A level science lab. Other guest present at the ceremony were (S.D.C) Schools Development Committee, other primary and secondary school heads, members of the district offices, ABC committee members, Mufakose 2 staff members, parents and students.
S.D.C chairman thanked the parents and students for making the project of the science lab successful and praised the pareents for being able to pay school fees for their children which has made the sience lab a success. He hopes to see many other projects at the school to bring excellence.
PED Mr C.C Katerera, the man incharge of all students from ECD to upper six A level stated that the government feel challenged whenever the schools induct such an event. He also praised the parents for making a progressive responce when they were informed about the construction of the science lab by the school.Mr Katerera encouraged students to do a lot of reading in order to be sucessful. He said that the project of constructing the science lab will drive the school to greater heights and maintain the status of the school.
The science lab is expected to be completely constructed in the next coming three months. This project will also make history at the Mufakose 2 secondary school to show that, it is the school of excellence.
