Zanu PF Vice President and Second Secretary Cde Kembo Mohadi is on a nationwide tour of the country’s 10 provinces where he is meeting provincial party leadership to consolidate unity within the revolutionary party.

The meetings are meant to discuss party affairs including cell restructuring and other challenges facing the party. Cde Mohadi has already visited Mashonaland East, Mashonaland West and Mashonaland Central Provinces. He is scheduled to visit Manicaland province next followed by Masvingo, Matabeleland South, Matabeleland North, Bulawayo and Harare provinces.

Zanu PF director of Information and publicity Cde Tafadzwa Mugwadi confirmed Cde Mohadi’s tour of duty, saying it was part of preparations for the next general elections.

“The Vice President and Second Secretary of the party Cde Mohadi is indeed conducting a national tour of provinces putting his hands on the deck and consolidating unity among party structures in line with the ‘Be Part of the Five Million Campaign’ strategy,” he said.

“The VP is leaving no stone unturned in familiarising provincial structures with the President’s expectations from them as we prepare for both our Annual National People’s Conference, Wings conferences and the 2023 elections.”

Zanu PF has undertaken to mobilise five million votes for the 2023 harmonised elections, as the party seeks to consolidate gains it has made in the Government through implementation of the National Development Strategy 1. The party has embarked on restructuring exercises meant to prepare for the 2023 general elections.
